Life Skills Coaching
Life Skills Coaching is a way to learn specific skills with therapeutic support. It is task orientated and designed to problem solve different ways to implement these skills in your present life. We do not discuss the past or process trauma, we only focus on your ability to thrive. During coaching sessions, we will be learning the important things you weren’t taught in school: how to manage your time, prepare yourself for a professional workplace, managing complex medical care, secure your budget, make healthier food choices, identify educational options, learn to locate resources in your community, learning to have fun again, self-advocacy, and everything in between. There are often skills that we need to succeed in the lives that we chose, and until needs of security and stability are met, it becomes difficult to process our emotional needs within therapy.
